PTU Life Is A Rose

This tutorial was written by me on September 6, 2014.
It was made out of my own creation and any similarity is purely coincidental.
I used PSP X2 but any version would work.

Artist: Anna Marine
I bought this tube at Creative Design Outlet HERE
Do not use this tube unless you have a license.
Scrap Kit: ScrapFoxy_IB-AnnaMarine-34-1
You can find this kit by Foxys Designz at Creative Design Outlet  HERE
Mask: WSL 84  HERE

Let’s start with the mask layer:
New Raster – 800 X 800.
Open Paper 6.  Open mask (WSL 84) and minimize.
SELECTIONS – SELECT ALL – Copy and paste Paper 6 into selection.
Go to LAYERS – NEW MASK LAYER – FROM IMAGE – SOURCE LUMINANCE - CHECKED – from menu, find WSL 84 – OK.  Duplicate and merge down.  Re-size 115%.

This will be the frame layer:
Frame 3C/P and move up and a bit to the right on tag.  Make sure your frame layer is still highlightedGrab your magic wand.  Click in the middle of frame.  SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND 8 pixels.
NEW RASTER LAYER - C/Paste into selection Paper 2.
I then grabbed Element 11.  C/P and move to lower left corner of paper layer.  Duplicate and move copy up towards right side of paper.  Stay on paper layer.    Go to SELECTIONS, then SELECT ALL - FLOAT - DEFLOAT
If you are using the same tube as me, grab it now.  Move her into position.
SELECTIONS - INVERT - DELETE - SELECTIONS - INVERT.
Duplicate the tube layer.
ADJUST – BLUR – GAUSSIAN BLUR – RADIUS 25 - OK.
Change BLEND MODE of copy of tube layer to HARD LIGHT and leave the original tube layer on SCREEN.  Reduce opacity to 50%

(see tag for placement)

Now onto some elements:
Element 17  - C/P and re-size 70%.  Move to left side of frame.  Make sure this and all layer(s) are OVER the frame layer(s).  Duplicate and mirror.  Move into position on other side of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 8 - C/P and re-size 30%.  Move to top right corner of frame over copy of element 17.
(see tag for placement)
Element 22 - C/P and re-size 75%.  Mirror and move to right side of frame over element 17.
 (see tag for placement)
Element 4 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to top left corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 12 - C/P and re-size 97%.  Move to bottom of frame.  Make sure it looks like it is wrapped around bottom of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 5 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom and a little bit to the right on frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 10 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to bottom right corner of frame.
(see tag for placement)
Element 20 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to right over element 10.  Make it look like it's sitting on top of it.
(see tag for placement)
Element 16 - C/P and re-size 50%.  Move to top left corner of frame over element 4.
(see tag for placement)
Wordart - C/P and move to bottom and a little left on tag.  I used a drop shadow on this wordart.  Same as below except white and I did a second drop shadow but changed the V & H to -2.

I place the tube layer(s) here:
If you are using the same tube as me.  C/P and mirror, then re-size 90%.  Move to the bottom left corner of frame and tag.  Move this layer UNDER the wordart layer.
(see tag for placement)

Add drop shadow to layers of your choosing.
I used
V & H 2
Opacity 70
Blur 7
Color Black

Now you can add name and  © information.  Save as .png and re-size if you wish.
I re-size before I save and add name and © info.
